1973 Bronco Value??
I have what I think is a unique early Bronco. It's a 1973 v-8 automatic, Maroon with parchment interior. What's unusual is it has 3,200 miles on it. It has never been titled and I have all the original paper work from the dealer. I purchased it from the original Ford dealer's widow. It had some rust, but otherwise is very nice and original. I have it at a body shop now where they are replacing the bad body panels and repainting it. The body work is costing me a bit, but I think it will be well worth it. I have some other repairs to make too, like replacing the brake lines and hoses and fuel lines, and some minor things like that. Although I really don't plan on selling it when it's done, I don't want to dump a bunch more into it than it will be worth. What sort of value do you think a truck like this will have?

1973 Bronco Value??
What options does it have? Power steering, limited slip(s), gear ratio? Is it a Ranger or a Sport package? Does it have chrome trim? Is it uncut? Does it still have the factory wheels and hubcabs? How much rust does it have? How are the floors, inner fenders, door posts, doors, tailgate? How is it being repaired?
Can it be documented for that mileage to be correct? It must have sat outside or been subjected to alot of salt in its short 3200 mile life to have that kind of rust. I don't mean to sound skeptical, but it doesn't sound typical for such a low mileage Bronco. There was a 66 for sale a couple of years ago that had 9800 original miles on it. It hadn't been repainted or repaired in any way. You could eat off of it, it was so clean.
I'm not sure it would be rare or unique. Pretty neat history though.
Value really depends on the options it has. If the drivetrain is solid and the paint is nice, I've seen them generally go between 7500- 10K if its a really nice driver.
I saw a really nice '76 Ranger with all the factory options and 80K miles sell for $12,500. But, you have to be willing to wait for the right buyer to come along for that kind of money. On the other hand, I sold a decent, solid, lower mileage 76 Explorer package with rusted floor panels that had been repaired for $5K.
As far as putting more money into it than it's worth, Welcome to the world of owning an early Bronco. I have about $20K into mine and it's still a beater (There needs to be a smilie that is crying)
Alot of what you mention that needs to be done could be considered maintenance such as the belts, hoses, filters, brakes, etc., etc.
