87 to 90 8.8 yoke swap?

I have a 1990 Bronco, there was a ton of play in the rearend, so I picked up a really nice 8.8 for $100, but it has a different yoke than my 8.8, it's the strap style instead of the flange style.

Is it as simple as bolting the yoke from the 90s on the other rearend? I think the new 8.8 is an 87'.

If I were swapping the same, even with the crush sleeve I'd just mark the nut to make sure I got preload correct.. however, I'm not sure about swapping the different style yokes.

I prefer the flange to the strap, so I'd rather change the yoke on the 8.8 than on my driveshaft.

I did the same thing with my 90.... All i did was swap the yolks and put a new pinion seal in to make sure nothing leaked... I had the same questions when I got my new rear end too, i just learned by experimentation.
