Well I had a low end knock. I was driving it down the road and it made a loud noise and now it will not start. When I turn it over it sounds like it wants to start but just can't or will not. I am not sure if I jumped timing. And if so what could I do? Can I just put the timing back? Or would and if it jumped timing could it have messed anything up?
When I was driving it right before it died it was making a sound like rattiling when I took my foot off the gas. That is why I think it jumped timing. And when it did die on me I was moving down the road at about 50 mph and then the noise it stayed alive till I pulled off the road. But when it made the noise it was like it had no power at all. And then I pulled off the road and it just died. So when I was trying to get it to start again nothing. Like I said it sounded like it wanted to start but it wouldn't or couldn't. Please and input on this would help alot.
try spraying some carb cleaner into the trottlebody and see if it wants to start.the clattering noise you where hearing could of been spark knock from very low fuel pressure.if that dosnt work run a compression test on it to see if it has jumped time.
