Hi Guys. Ever since I bought my used 02 f250 v10 2 months ago I would get intermittent buzzing from fuse panel area. I though it was the aftermarket draw-tite brake controller but I unplugged it and it still buzzed. If I step on the brake it stops or if I turn on the blinkers it stops. I believe I narrowed it down to the multi function switch aka the turn signal/wiper stalk on steering column. Anyone else have this issue and how hard is replacement?
Well then its not coming the fuse panel. Its Easy on older trucks. New Cant be different. Take off the front of the steering wheel and go in and remove the cover around it and there it is. 15 minutes prob. If it is in a fuse panel it is a relay.

No. The noise is coming from the fuse panel but goes away after I wiggle the turn switch. Looks like I don't even have to remove the steering wheel but just the column.?
I had this same problem on my last truck. What is 'buzzing' is the flasher relay located under the dash towards the middle almost where the brake controller plug is. I replaced the relay, nothing; so don't do that. It is the multi-function switch. You might need to replace it, but I just used a bit of alcohol and compressed air and that cleared it right up.

Really? That fixed it? That would be awesome if you could give me a rundown on how you did it so I don't have to spend $100 on a new switch. Thanks alot!
I just took the column cover off and put some 99% isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip and cleaned as best I could and then just sprayed it with some air. You can also use 91% alcohol (it is more common and can be found in drug stores) and canned air dusters for air, but you won't get the power of a compressor. That cleared mine up.
Worst case you would have to remove the switch and clean it, but really you should be able to get to most everything without removal.
Then again, you could have a bad switch, but not likely. Just gunked up with something.
Ok cool. Thanks alot. Think Mass Air Sensor cleaner would do the trick since it evaporates very quick and is not harmful? What areas did you exactly clean as well? Like take harnesses off?
