E- Brake correct install procedure ?

Just put two new cables on from the "equalizer" back. Trouble is that now I can't hook up the front cable. The adjusting nut is super corroded. My thought is that even if I do get the cables pulled far enough forward to hook them up that the cable won't be able to release.
Any ideas or a link. Tried some searches with little help.
Marty
P.S. It's an '87 F-250 4x4 5.8L

You need to get the adjusting nut working. You could try soaking it for a few hours in penetrating fluid or heat it. Only other thing is to replace the cable with the adjuster on it with a new one.

Thanks Lazy K !

Yeah, this ones toast. I used a length of 5/16ths threaded rod and made a new connection. The dealer was looking for $25 for a new part.
Looks like I'm back in business or at least on to the next problem.
Thanks for the help !
Marty
