Whenever my truck has a load on it, it is extremely difficult to back up slowly. It jerks really bad as if you where to stab the throttle over and over again in 4lo. I don't know if it is the clutch or tranny or what... Any ideas out there
Are you backing up in 4 low? Read about your rig, I see it has 3:55 gears. With a load on the high gears don't help. I always use low range when backing with a load.
A worn clutch can make it buck. I've seen a carrier bearing (center support bearing) make them buck. Idle too low for the load (when not using any throttle) trying to get up a slight incline.
I've got a 4sp car that does the same thing only going forward when it rolls a bit too slow.
