I currently have innovative tunes from Eric in my 2004 F250 6.0... I previously had an egr delete, turboback exhaust, and some minor things so i dont have a CEL or anything like that but...
Over the past 2 weeks my cousin and I pulled the cab and did ARP studs, Black Onyx gaskets, a banks CAI, and an intake elbow... complete valve job, cleaned everything to the max and all that too.. replaced all the o-rings and gaskets on everything... painted the whole frame.. etc... etc... etc...
Can / should I get new / updated tunes? Can someone please explain to me whats now good to run in the truck as far as boost etc... Obviously I want to crank it up...
Thanks for the help.. I will have a full thread made within the next couple of days with hundreds of pictures and a complete write up..
I'm new to the forum and tunes but, I just bought an SCT model SF3 for my 2006 F-250 6.0L to clean up a Ford boost problem. I tried their performance tune contained in the programmer and what a difference. I didn't know my engine could run like that. Their tech support is great. I have no other product to compare it to but, I really like this one. Bruce
I have an Extreme Street tune from innovative that I run daily. I like it, lots of power, max at about 33 pounds boost, and I still get 16 mile per gallon. I tried running the Extreme Race tune daily, but my truck had no street manners on it.
I have the extreme street tune in the truck now... Im around 33-34 lbs of boost as well... I kindof want to turn it up a bit if you know what I mean LOL
Can Eric write me better tunes that turn up the boost a bit now that I have studs and all that??
I didnt see an FICM tune in your siggy. Innovative can tune it to mild moderate or race but you have to send it in to them. Powerhungry will tune it but you have the option of sending it in or they can send you a programmer that will change it for a core charge returnable with the tuner, also I think powerhungry only has one program
I had mine done through innovative, but only got the mild. I would suggest if you send it to them that you get the moderate, the mild didnt do much for me. From what innovative told me this is totally seperate from your standard custom tunes and will compliment any tune you throw at it.
