oil filter 6.9 idi
Hello i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a shorter oil filter for the idi then the stock length one, or a remote mount kit? i put a high pinion 60 in my ford and its a little close for comfort for me.

where do you get the head unit? can i get that online? is it expensive?

you can get it from AMSOIL - Synthetic Oil, Motor and Engine Oil, Lubricants, Air Filters, Oil Filters and Greases but i can get it for you cheaper. not sure the price of the head unit itself, i just know of their total bypass unit. its 316 without oil and filters. id bet the head unit is around 80 bucks. its a 2 piece unit that you thread 1/2" high pressure oil lines into and run it where ever you want.

you could always put a little taller bump stop so it would hit that before your filter. or throw in a add a leaf. that would give you about an inch and a half lift and keep it away. if you were closer, ive got 2 sets brand new id sell for 50 a pair.

ya later i will go with add a leafs or something, maybe i will put a wood block on top the spring pack for now. but in all reality im probably just gonna dent that end in on the filter. i gotta deal with this mess of a assist power steeing for now, dont know what approach im gonna take, probably end up haveing manual steering for a while.
