Watch the F-150 Lightning Debut Right HERE!

Tonight at 9:30PM EDT, Ford finally pulls the curtain off their all-electric F-150 Lightning… (even though they already leaked it).

We’ve seen the teasers and confirmed its official name. Ford turned their entire headquarters into a stage for its drive-in style media event (see below). And even the President drove a camouflaged prototype. Yes, my friends, the hype machine is in full gear and the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning’s official launch is nearly upon us. And you can watch it right here on Ford Truck Enthusiasts simply by pressing play above at 9:30PM EDT tonight (May 19, 2021 for any future lurkers).

Interestingly, despite all towing stunts, camouflaged trucks, and mysteries surround the new EV truck, which starts production in Spring 2022, Ford managed to leak a few details yesterday. First, they placed a silver Lightning directly behind the President as he spoke. An off-camera Ford rep appeared to confirm a 4.4-second 0-60 capability. And on-camera Ford reps showed Biden the Lightning’s battery pack and confirmed its weight of 1,800 pounds. Based on a little quick math, that should put it at around 125-130kWh.

Lightning Leak? DEARBORN, MI. MAY 18, 2021 – President Joe Biden spoke today at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Mich., manufacturing home of the all-new, all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning that goes on sale in mid-2022. The F-150 Lightning will be officially revealed Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 9:30 p.m. EDT. As you can see from the picture above, the 2023 Lightning stands even with a 2021 F-150 Limited and slightly shorter than the forthcoming third-gen Raptor. The Lightning also lacks the in-bumper LED lightning that we’ve seen on most 2021 F-150s, instead opting for a light that extends across the entire upper grille.
