Ford Ranger Rules the World!
As we are gifted with news that Ford will once again bring the Ranger and Bronco nameplate back to the U.S. market, Ford has released that the Ranger, the automaker’s smallest pickup truck, is the best selling pickup throughout Europe.
According to the Blue Oval, Ford delivered 25,500 Ranger pickups in last year, which was a 32 percent increase over last year’s sales figures.
The Rangers sales have been boosted in recent months due to a refresh of the exterior, increased technology packages, and a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating that’s one of the highest in the class. The Ranger even surpassed the sales of the hugely popular Toyota Hilux of Top Gear fame.
Where the Ranger really shines however is in price. Where the average price of a new F-150 is over $45,000, the average for a Ranger is well below $30,000, and that’s helped along by a starting price of just $28,993, which includes Europe’s taxes.
Let’s just hope Ford will continue to see these sales figures once the Ranger inevitably comes back to the U.S. in a few years. Who’s ready to have the Ranger finally come back?
