Ford Partners with F-150-Lovin’ Country Singer Brantley Gilbert

By -

Putting together Ford Music, the 2018 F-150, and Brantley Gilbert is music to our ears.

Recently, Ford kicked off a partnership with country music star Brantley Gilbert during Ford’s Truck Month. Gilbert, a self-proclaimed lifelong driver of Ford trucks, is a perfect fit for the Blue Oval. The campaign will include opportunities for fans to connect with Gilbert on his “The Ones That Like Me Tour.” To celebrate the partnership, Ford and Gilbert released a video of the performer talking about the F-150, as well as his family, his musical journey, and what drives him.

According to Billboard, Ford partnered with Gilbert using a service called Music Audience Exchange (or MAX), which helps connect companies with artists that best fit their brand. Hits Daily Double spoke with Gilbert about the collaboration. MAX sorted through 765 genres of music and 1.8m artists. “It’s one of those tech things that measures people’s tastes and then sorts out what it all means,” Gilbert said. “When they looked at Ford truck folks’ favorites, I came up, which was awesome. Then they reached out to us.” Gilbert was impressed by Ford’s desire to provide a deeper look into Gilbert and his music.

Gilbert is a no-nonsense guy who says that he only lends his name to products he believes in, and in this case, drives. “I like things that are built to last, that can hang tough; you can really work hard, play hard, and go where you need to go,” said Gilbert. “For me, there’s nothing like a Ford truck to stand up to the beating, year after year.”

‘I wanted to partner with things that I actually drive and believe in. Ford’s all that for me.’

In the video released by Ford Music and MAX, Gilbert’s devotion to his family first is clear, and it also gives great insight into what drives him musically. And he is happy to talk about why he loves Ford trucks. “I wanted to partner with things that I actually drive and believe in. Ford’s all that for me.”

We look forward to what this partnership will bring. But one thing is clear, when it comes to the F-150, Gilbert is a fan. “Ford Trucks are one of those things you can depend on. Where I’m from, it’s what you drive; they’re serious trucks for work—or for life.”
