Very few people are going to have the opportunity to drive the brand new Ford GT supercar. While I’m sure I’ll know some people who do, the odds of even myself getting behind the wheel are slim, and I write about cars for a living! Ford understands this, so during CES in Las Vegas back in January, Ford came up with a unique way for people to experience the thrill of driving the Ford GT. They used hypnosis.

Of course they did! Marc Savard, a comedy hypnotist in Las Vegas rounded up some volunteers to be hypnotized in front of the audience at the Ford display at CES. They were asked to sit in a chair next to the bright yellow Ford GT. Savard then put them to sleep and told them when they woke up they’d be behind the wheel of the GT. The following happened;

It’s a fun watch, even though some of the volunteers shift a non-existent manual shifter (the Ford GT is a dual-clutch automatic), but those are just silly mundane details that I notice. That is also why, unlike these people, I’m boring at a party.

Would you volunteer to be hypnotized in hopes of experiencing a similar rush to driving a supercar around a race track or down the Las Vegas Strip? Let us know in the comments below or over in the forums!
