Custom Super Duty Shows Serious Team Spirit
Ford and NFL football go together like peanut butter and jelly. And this Super Duty makes the perfect game day companion!
Ford trucks are, of course, the official truck of the National Football League. For a lot of reasons, this makes a ton of sense. Mostly because a large percentage of us Ford truck owners are also huge fans of professional football. And the many activities that go along with it, including the wonderland of grilled meats and tasty beverages we partake in while tailgating. So it only makes sense that a fan of a certain NFL team might want to use his Super Duty to show off that pride.
And that’s the idea behind Redskins Rides, a segment put together by Easterns Automotive Group in Maryland. Of course, they’ve featured a number of different rides so far. But our favorite of the bunch has to be PJ and Val’s 2008 F-350 Super Duty. The duo purchased the truck in stock condition from a buddy three years ago. But since then, it’s undergone a complete transformation into the beastly ride you see before you today.
Naturally, you’ll notice the lift and massive wheels and tires. There’s a custom grille, bumpers, and lighting as well, along with a roof rack. But the main goal of the build was to make something PJ and Val could use to show off their Redskins pride. And use as the ultimate tailgating rig. And that’s exactly what they’ve done, as the Super Duty has already made several road trips, following the Redskins to a number of road games.
The truck is so massive, it makes 6’6″ Redskins defensive end Anthony Lanier II look pretty small in comparison. But it also proves an important point. We Ford truck fans tend to be just as passionate about our teams as we are about our trucks. Put the two together, and you’ve got a marriage made in heaven!
