This movie star of a 1972 Ford F-250 didn’t take long to find a new home, which isn’t a surprise.

Clint Eastwood has long held the title of being one of the coolest Hollywood actors out there, whether he be playing the role of a rebellious cowboy or just an old guy who wants kids to get off his lawn. The four-time Academy Award winner is still at it too, most recently starring in a crime drama dubbed The Mule, which was produced and directed by Eastwood, who also plays the lead role in the film. It’s an interesting tale of a 90-year-old drug mule for the cartel, but perhaps more notably – at least to us – is that Eastwood drives a 1972 Ford F-250 in the movie. Recently, that same truck popped up for sale on eBay, and was quickly scooped up for an undisclosed sum.

This particular 1972 Ford F-250 is said to have 74,578 miles on the clock and is a Camper Special model, but its crusty looks are intentional – in fact, the movie studio reportedly painted fake patina on its body panels to give it the properly patina’d look. The pickup looks to be in pretty excellent shape otherwise, and would certainly make a cool driver for anyone who loves these old Blue Oval trucks.

The listing didn’t exactly provide us with a ton of information about this F-250 otherwise, except for the fact that it reportedly “runs great.” There are various stickers spread throughout – again, for movie looks, as this was supposed to be an old bitter man’s pickup – and the interior and engine bay look equally vintage. Those same stickers reportedly drop hints of the various places Eastwood has traveled during his career, with some Easter eggs hidden in plain sight as well.

Eastwood signed the glovebox in the truck, and it also comes with a certificate of authenticity, which obviously adds to its appeal. Old Ford trucks are already shooting up in value, and this one’s asking price of $52,000 was enough to prompt someone to act, as well as a buyer to make an offer the seller couldn’t refuse. But then again, for any Clint Eastwood fan out there, that seems well worth it for a cool piece of movie history.
