BUILDUP: Charlie’s 2000 F-350 7.3L Build
We all know the feeling of waiting to start work on a build. It seems wrong, since, after all, you feel ready to get started. Of course, real-life situations can make this a difficult task. Is there enough money in the bank? Enough time in the day? Is the weather right? Do I have enough room in the garage? Regardless of what the question is, the truth remains the same: distractions are all too present, but there’s not much that can be done about them.
And that’s why when opportunity presents itself, it’s best to grab it by the horns. For FTE member Charlie, who is also known by his username IDI-Charlie, opportunity just presented itself, and he didn’t waste a moment. He recently finished working on his 6.9L rig that he uses on his farm, and was finally able to put some time, money, and effort into his 2000 Ford F-350 7.3L. So, just as one would expect, the modifications have been rolling in.
So far he has added a new EBPV sensor, a muffler delete pipe, and more. After just a handful of mods, the rig is already getting better gas mileage too. After all is said and done, Charlie hopes to see the truck putting out 400 to 450 horsepower at the wheels, so we’ll be keeping an eye on his progress. And you should too, so go check out Charlie’s build thread and show your support!
