Considering JJ’s very specific trucking needs, we wouldn’t be shocked to see another Ford in his stable.
We cover a fair bit of content from the Big Truck Big RV YouTube channel. JJ’s constant adventures with his Ford F-450 have given us hours of entertainment, so it caught us by surprise when he announced the sale of his truck last week.
According to JJ, he was looking at a few online sites where they promise to give you a guaranteed quote to buy your vehicle, sight unseen. It seems they wanted to pay almost as much as he bought the truck for, so he was basically given a “free” truck upgrade.
So the big question is, what will he replace the F-450 with? He has covered the other trucks on his channel before, and there is a lot to love when it comes to Ram, but every truck has its own pros and cons.
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait long to find out!
We aren’t going to tell you what he chose, but do know that he chose this truck based on data, and not feelings or loyalty. The most important features he was looking for included fuel capacity, payload, towing, infotainment usability, ease of tire service, cargo camera, and turning radius. The old F-450 couldn’t be serviced at a standard tire shop, which meant he needed to call a proper truck company — and that made life very inconvenient.
