THE BIG CHILL Ford’s Extreme Weather Testing Chamber
While other companies outsource their extreme weather vehicle testing, the Ford Motor Company prefers to do it themselves. Ford performs a climate chamber test that can replicate the most extreme hot and cold weather conditions your car or truck may be subjected to over time – like minus 40 degrees to 131 plus Fahrenheit degree temperatures.
In these controlled chamber tests they can create humidity, perform snow tests, simulate the sun and lots more.
John Toth, Project and Facility Engineer at Ford, puts a 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang through a brutal testing experiment in the seriously cool video below.
