Smog delete

I've got a 95 with the 5.8l and a few years back I removed some of my smog parts but left the pump on now the pump has went bad so I removed it and the idler pulley because I'm looking for the belt that fits the 5.0 or 5.8 for the smog delete evey belt ive been told to use ends up being to small anybody have this issue or atleast know the right length of the belt to use ?

If it has an idler pulley, it should take an OEM length belt. Might as well just do that so it's easy.

Can’t you just use a string around the same path as the belt would take and then mark the string with a sharpie and then measure the length.
It should get you in the ball park.

I was going to do this and during the research on how I was, there are numerous threads showing the part number of the belt they used. I bet within 10 minutes you can find that number.

There are a few different ways that I have seen the pump removed and the new belt routing, including buying the bypass pulley and using the stock belt. My choice was to gut the air pump and use the stock belt size.

Best two(2) solutions, as it uses stock belt size, no guess work.
