Could the Next Ford Bronco Come from Brazil?

Bronco, Bronco, Bronco! With gas prices at an all-time low, and auto manufacturers getting in the grove with shared global platforms, the chances for a new, utilitarian, off-road capable, brutish SUV to go into production are as high as they’ve ever been.

Recent news out of Brazil, show that Ford recently acquired the company that produces the vehicle pictured above, the Troller. The Troller T4 is a Brazilian off-roader built on the Ford Ranger global platform, and it has the awkward, funky but functional look an off-road SUV should have, so in theory—it could work pass as the new Bronco!

The Troller’s front end features enough ground clearance to crawl over obstacles found on most trails, and it’s known in Brazil for excelling at water crossings. Heck, there’s even an annual rally held for Troller T4s specifically.
