Cooled seats have mind of their own

Occasionally when I start the truck the driver seat will come on full cool, which might be nice in the summer... but not at 30*. At first I thought maybe I was somehow hitting the button when shutting the truck off, that wasn't it. Then I thought maybe it only happened if I opened the door before shutting the truck off, jury is still out there but it doesn't happen every time I do this. Anyone else experience this? I went through the cluster settings thinking maybe there was some setting that might be on, but I didn't see any.

I'm not remote starting, just getting in and starting the truck like normal.

Mine always comes on full blast, no matter which setting I select in the info center. I'm thinking it has something to do with the temp settings within which ever control module does the thinking for the seats. Hopefully FORScan will have a way to adjust like can be done with the heated steering wheel.

I have the same issue....even the heated seats popped on during the winter every now and again

Check your remote start settings. If it is set to "Auto" then the seats, steering wheel etc. look at the ambient temp and adjust to make the cabin comfortable. If it is set to " last setting" it will be whatever you last has set when you shut off the truck.

You can turn that option ON and OFF in advance settings in dash, when you use your remote to start the truck it can turn on the cab temperature depending of your settings and that includes your seats if you want to

Same issue here. Haven’t noticed a pattern yet. Just seems to happen 80% of the time. It’s been happening since I used forscan, so I assumed it was related to that.

I just have mine set to 'Last Setting' (or something like that) if it was on when I turn the truck on, it comes on. If it was off, it stays off. No issues with it that way.

Mine is set same. I get the random full-on seat cooling, however. As another observed, its not all the time, just once in a while.

Ok, good to know, haven't experienced that with mine. With 'Auto' I could understand there may be issues with the rules for when to turn on/off the seats. With 'Last Setting' it should have been definite, and seems to be some kind of fault.

I get this a lot in mine, even during winter. I don’t drive my truck everyday, it usually happens after I get home from work and start it to go somewhere. At that time the windshield is sitting in full sun and the interior of the truck is hot. I believe the ambient plus the interior temperature of the truck has something to do with what function of the seat turns on. If I take my truck in the morning and hasn’t been sitting in the sun all day the heat turns on.
