Hit the lock button first. Then remote start it.

Lock - Start - Start. It should start and park lights come on along with AC settings

Also, after you got the remote start button, wait a couple seconds. If you see a green light, it started, if it blinks red, it didn't.

You may be pressing your buttons too fast. Try 1 second between button presses

For the remote start after hitting the start button the second time do you hit and release or hold until it starts? Same for the push button. When you get in do you press and hold until it starts or press, release and wait for it to start?

I don't have push button start on my truck (have it on taurus), so maybe it's different on those models, but it's really not that sensitive. I've never really even thought too much about it. Just lock and double tap.
But come to think of it, I'm very dissapointing in the remote start on my Taurus, it only seems to work when the fob is close to it. I was able to get it to start last night from the inside of a restaurant, which surprised me.
so maybe the push button start vehicles have different sensors or software.
Anyone else notice these issues?

A side note if the truck rolls a code it prevents remote starting. It may not show any errors on the screen when you start the truck.

Dealer confirmed this while working with the SuperLemon truck. It would not remote start after a repair attempt. We went through everything on the truck and eventually plugged the computer in got a code from it and off to the shop again.

When you notice your loosing range on remote start or locking, unlocking it's time for a new battery in the remote. When you have a weak battery it looses range.
