Where is my relay at?

1979 F150 4x4 with factory AC.

Where would the blower motor relay be located at?? Thought it may be easier to ask before taking the dash apart to find it.

Good thing you asked, there isn't one. Ford dropped the relay after '77. 78 & 79 models didn't use the relay.
Here's the wiring diagram of the A/C controls.

OK Thanks Mike. Am ordering the vacuum control and fan switch from LMC and seen they had a relay listed for 75-79's. Thought I would replace it while I was in there but I don't recall seeing it while I was in the dash previous times. Glad I asked. Would of been pretty frustrating looking for something that was not there.

Yeah, LMC's "technical staff " isn't all that accurate when it comes to applications...or anything else.
(Nice looking truck BTW).

Thanks for the info and the compliment on the truck Mike. I usually try to order from Bronco Graveyard but they didn't have everything that I needed to order so LMC got me this time. Gotta spread the cash around I guess.

Avoid ending a question with a preposition as it is unnecessary.

.. your question is the same as posing, "Where is my relay?"

See what I mean?

Sorry. I thought this was a place to learn about and enjoy dentsides. I didn't realize we were being tested on the proper use of the english language. I quit worrying about those tests 40 years ago.

Written English is an imperfect representation of the spoken language, and the language evolves over time. The function of language is to get your point across-which you did. So don't worry about it!

Not a test... just a friendly note.

It's all good.
