Recalibrating 350 TPMS

Really considering getting a 350 vs the 250 I was initially considering. The 350 rides just a little rougher, but I think the mileage will be very comparable. Stock the 350 specs out the TPMS at 80 PSI rear... I'm sure this has a bit to do with it riding rougher in the rear vs the 65 PSI spec on the 250.

Am I correct in assuming that I can adjust the set point value on the 350 with the Forscan software? Looks like it's listed in the spreadsheet, but I didn't see anyone confirming it can be done.

Dropping the rear tire pressure when unloaded would be great for the times the higher payload isn't needed!

On a recent trip I ran my 350 at 60 psi cold front and rear with no alarms. After taking the rears up to 80 to carry a load we did have a rear flat and the alarm came on at 58. YMMV

There have been multiple confirmations of the TPMS adjustment on the FORScan Codes spreadsheet.

I just asked my dealer to drop the trip point down to 50 psi so that I could drop the pressure when empty.

I have been experimenting with pressures on the rear. I am down to 68 cold, with no alarms.
I have heard 65 brings alarms, but posted above says down to 60.
I would be happy with 60, until I buy a new computer to run FORscan and change it.

If the value is changed with FORscan, what range would keep from triggering the alarm?
+/- 10?

I'll have Forscan going on Thursday after I'm home from work. I will set my TPMS setpoints to 55 psi all the way around. I want to run my tire pressures at 65 all the way around unless I'm towing, then I will set my rears to 80.

I believe the 250 set points are determined by the payload package. Yours may have the heavy duty payload option?

The owners manual explains how to adjust it with without any special tools. It's all done from the dash.

Can you provide instructions on how to reset the TPMS thresholds in the dash? It's not possible on any truck I've seen. You have to use FORScan or a similar tool to change the module ID values.

i found on my truck, sustained psi below 65 will trip the alarm, if you take off on a drive with 64 psi cold rear and in a few miles they are up to 66 then it wont trip,

I changed mine to 50 psi rear, i run 65 front 50 rear empty and light towing/hauling have had great luck thus far

Ok, this is the reset procedure to perform after rotating tires. I thought you were talking about changing the actual psi thresholds from factory settings. I changed my thresholds from 65/80 front/rear to 55/60 front and rear with FORScan. There's no way to do that with the features in the dash.
