accelerator pedal bracket

Hello All,
The accelerator pedal bracket that bolts to the floor of my 67 F250 is broken. I've searched the past threads here regarding this and it appears to be a common issue. I haven't been able to locate the part anywhere. I did find several on Ebay that lists them for 73-79 trucks.

73-78 Ford Truck Gas Pedal Assembly Accelerator F100 150 250

The part in the picture appears to be very similar. Will this fit the '67 model also?
Thanks

1967/72 F100/350 have a suspended accelerator pedal, so there's nothing that bolts to the floor board. The part you're referring to bolts to the toe board.

What size is the engine? 240/300 different than 352.

My mistake on the terms. It's the triangular shaped piece with three bolts that the accelerator pedal shaft runs through. My engine is the FE 352. Looks like there is no way to get the shaft separated from the bracket. There are plastic bushings in there and it looks like when they manufactured the bracket the shaft was installed and then they did some kind of crimp technique to hold it from sliding out. I just went to a welding shop and they said they could weld it but it would likely damage the plastic bushing due to the heat.

The following resembles the accelerator assy. shown in post #1, but it's not the same.

Clueless ebay seller says 1973/78, but fails to mention exactly what this part came from, as there are SIX different types!

C7TZ-9725-N .. Accelerator Assy. / Obsolete

1967 F100/350 352 / 1968/71 F100/350 360/390 / 1969/71 F100 302 / 1972 F100 302 & F100/350 360/390 before serial number P60,001.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Do I need to get a part number from these people to figure out which one will work for me or can anyone tell by looking at the picture? They all look very similar to me.

These people would have no part number to give since they are used parts. 1st off, make sure you buy one that the mounting bracket isn't broken like one of these pics. And second, before you purchase compare the engine side of it to yours. The pedal side is the same between the I6 and V8 choices. The difference is the under the hood side.

I had previously bought an accelerator pedal bracket on ebay that was for the wrong engine. The rod was too long on the right side. I used my original as a template and bent the rod into the proper shape, cut off the end, and ground down the flat area where the carburetor accelerator rod attaches. After a little tweaking it works great and lines up perfectly. I sand blasted and painted the new bracket and rod and then I had to round over the end of flat area so that the clips would work correctly. This is an option for anyone that can't find the correct accelerator.

Since, I've had my truck from 1978 I think I have change the gas pedal bell crank linkage a few times to this day. As I have walked down memory lane of the junk yards for many yrs looking you good parts to use or flip on C/list or ebay.

I always check for a nice tight gas pedal linkage bushings and always keep a backup one along with other hard to get stuff like clutch frame Z-Bar bushing etc. so that, I can be back up and running in hrs. of time.

So if you plan on keeping your truck for a long time then hit some of the loco Junk Yds. for some hard to find replacement parts.
