Replacing Head Gaskets
 

I have a 05 F250 6.0 and I am going to do a cab on head gasket replacement in a few weeks. I am looking for a step by step guide to doing this. If you know of any links, recommend a shop manual or have some helpful advice, I would much appreciate it before I take on this project.

Are the factory shop manuals worth the cost? Are they well written and give good step by step instructions?

you can by a factor dvd (or copy) on ebay. yes the oem dvd is worth its weight in gold. Thats the only book woth it.

Cheezit, I use an apple computer and usually the DVDs are on PCs only. I was wondering about the Ford factory workshop books. Comes in volume 1 & 2 and a wiring diagram.

dont know about the apple issue. I sure there is a workaround with an emulator maybe one of the it guys can help there.
so far as what one to get well I would get the set. We use the online books so we dont even need to deal with the dvd's

After doing some research and my bed plate leaks a little oil, I decided I am going to do a cab-on engine removal so I can replace the head gaskets, front and rear main seals, and the bed plate.
