    Hello there,
Do you know? Is the 4R100 transmission in the 2001 SVT Lightning a PWM or NON-PWM?

    Hi,
I don't know who to ask, maybe you can help me out.
It's about the front suspension of a 2001 Ford F150 SVT Lightning.
As I've bought it, it was alredy lowered by 2", I'm missing the Original front springs and I have to raise the truck to the factory height and I'm not able to find a set of front coil Springs. Maybe you know somebody who can help me out of this.
    Thanks a lot

You can swap out the diode style drum with the sprag type, as far as anything else that may need to be replaced you should get it apart first and inspect each component. The low sprag, bushings, and a good shift kit are things I use on just about all of them.

Hi jk080, Mark told me to ask you about my problem with my 2001 F150 SVT Lightning with a 4r100 transmission. maybe you can help me. It didn't shift up into the 2nd at normal rpm like always before, I was keeping accelerating and by about 4500 rpm I heard a loud BANG. When I arrived to the destination I've put it into the "R", and NO reverse, like I it will be in the "N". The next day the reverse was working again, no sign of failure, I drove a few yards and it doesn't shift up into the 2nd, but I went from gas at 3000 rpm and it shifted, no problems with the 3rd and 4th. I took down the oil pan to check the valve body and I found a chuck, it seems like it would be from the mechanical diode(I've seen pics on the net where the diode was broken and it looks very similar). What you mean? If I have a broken diode can I replace it with a 5 clutch direct drum with sprag OWC from the 7,3 diesel models or should I buy a 4 clutch direct drum? What else should be replaced?
    Thanks for any advice
