DIRE need of help BLINKERS! wiring

I'll bet this is gonna be one of those " the LED's won't draw enough amperage to operate the flasher" situations..
Call ez wire and ask what they recommend for that circuit..probably some more resistance in each LED lamp...
Ron Francis offers the" No-Load" led fasher unit for about $40 to solve the above problem....also,.. double check the wiring at the "LED" lamp itself. LED's are by definition.."Light Emitting.. DIODES", and will not work wired backwards as no power will flow thru a diode if incorrectly placed in a circuit.. an incandesant bulb could care less which way power goes thru it.

I'm just looking over your comments and everyone elses too, and I have another question (or two):
You say your signals are very dim but your brake lights work fine.
You also said your signals don't work with the running lights on.
First, do your blinkers work with either the headlight switch pulled out to the first detent (running and parking lights only) or your headlight switch pulled out to the second detent (headlights and running lights) - either one?
Second, what happens when you step on the brakes (and the brake lights come on) and then with the brake pedal still down, you select a left or right blinker. Do the lights blink ok?

It this something that has never worked or a problem that has just cropped up from a previously working system? If it has never worked properly then I agree with other repliers that the LED blinkers will need a flasher made for LED's because they don't draw near the current as incandescent lights. If this is a new problem from a previously working system then you need to follow the three rules of electrical trouble shooting. 1) Is it plugged in? 2) Is it turned on? and 3)What did you touch last? Since it appears that 1 & 2 have been answered then what were you working on when the blinkers started acting up? Also do the blinkers use the brake lights (likely) or are they separate bulbs from the brakes (less likely)? If the blinkers use the same lamps as the brakes and the brakes appear to work OK then it's probably the flasher. Also if the brakes and blinkers share the same bulbs then the brakes are either wired through the blinkers or there is set of "combining" resistors in the system that enable the blinkers and brakes to use the same bulbs (RV's and trailers sometimes use this system). If you have a set of "combining" resistors then they are more than likely sized for incandescent lights and not LED's.

I think that with LED tailights that should be opposite of what you are seeing. That lets you have running lights at 9 volts and a brighter brake light with 12 volts.
