Is it possible to buy new lower shock mounts(front) 1951 F1

Hey all just wondering if anyone you know of sells the front lower shock mounts for the 1951 F1. Mine seem quite worn unless the flat part where the shock riubber sits is a bushing and does not look like it?....Thank you

Probably your best bet on that is to find someone who has an axel laying around from a front end conversion (I know Ilya [51PanelMan] has one or two) and ask them if they will sell or give you the pins/bolts

Thanx Jules, as it works out only one side is pooched. A friend of mine is going to make me up a bushing once I get the new shocks. All is good.

I believe that I have a complete front straight axle with at least one lower mount. Not sure on its condition, however, or how to remove it. I'll check on Monday.

18197 are the bushings, 18039 is just a washer, but...

These are the basic part numbers only. Basic part numbers only are shown in illustrations.

To get the complete part number, the prefix & suffix (most early part numbers do not have a suffix) listed in the text section of the parts catalog are necessary to form a complete part number.

And...there are dozens of different 18036's, 18039's, 18197's since Ford has used the same basic part numbers for every passenger car & truck since 1908.

Examples: Every right front fender is 16005, the left is 16006. Every taillight lens is 13450, every fuel tank is 9002.

2) TRAA18036A .. Front Shock Absorber Lower Mounting Stud / Obsolete

Fits: 1948/52 F1/F2/F3.

GRIESEL MOTOR CO. in Okarche OK has ONE = 405-263-7242.

BOB ALLEN FORD in Overland Park KS has ONE = 800-676-0675 / 913-381-3000.

If you only need one, be aware that Bob Allen wants mega-bucks for obsolete parts.

No other Ford Dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.
------------------------------------------------------
2) 7HC18039 .. Front Shock Absorber Stud Washer / Obsolete

Fits same as above / No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
2) A9A18198B .. Shock Absorber Bushing Kit / Each kit contains 4 (18197) bushings, 2 washers, 2 nuts / Obsolete

Fits front shock absorbers (same-upper/lower): 1948/52 F1/F2/F3 / 1953/56 F100/350.

Fits rear shock absorbers: 1948/52 F1/F2/F3 / 1953/56 F100/350 / 1949/51 Ford Passenger Cars.

ANTIQUE AUTO SUPPLY in Arlington TX has 7 = 817-275-2381.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 9 = 800-543-4959 / 513-731-3304.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 15 = 607-722-5371.
