Hi there, new here, I just joined today because I can't figure what's going on with my car.

Just today I noticed the interior lights (both the dome light in the middle of the ceiling that has a door, on, and off switch and the two lights right above the dashboard on the same panel as the sunroof) remain on even when all doors are shut. There is no door ajar light on. I have opened and slammed shut all the doors. Lights still stay on. I can manually turn off the dome light, but the two map lights (I think that's their official name) can't be turned off, even when I hit the switch.

HELP!!!

 

P.S. In my Google adventures this morning, I've seen suggestions to use WD40 or some other kind of spray on the locks. But, if the lock was sticking and the car thought the doors weren't shut, wouldn't the door ajar light be on?

 

Do the map lights stay on all the time, or just when you turn the key off and exit the vehicle? If that is the case. they are on the delay and will go out within one minute, depending on what setting the delay is set for.

 

the switchs to turn the lights on or off are the door latches in the doors so spray them with a lube.
