O-ring Part # for Axle Shaft Seal

Hello,

This thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...-bearings.html

Has a part number for an axle shaft o-ring, but for the excursion.

Anyone have that same part number for my 1991 F350 with Sterling full float axle?

Thanks,

David

When I did mine I took an old O-Ring to the to a couple of auto parts stores until I found one that had a match on their rack of O rings. I only paid 90 cents a piece, so I suspect that it is much cheaper than a for part, if they are even available.

Thank you for the link. I want to try and replace today, but have been unable to find at a local parts store. They dont even show the part in their inventory, so was wondering if there was a part number that might be for the same part, but for a diff truck...

If you have the o-ring that came out of it I would do like shorerider said and take it into your local auto shop to see if they can match it otherwise if you're in the rural areas a tractor or farm supply store usually has a great selection of O-rings. If you don't have the original you could use a pair of calipers if you have them to measure the inside and outside diameters of the groove it sets in and take those measurements to the store.
