'00 f-150 topper wiring questions
Hey folks,
I have a 2000 F-150 ext. cab. I have a topper on it and looking to hook up the interior light in the topper.
Is there a lead already run for this and if so where do i find it or can i find a constant hot and ground to tap into in that area for this purpose? or do i need to run a new hot wire from the cab interior?
Secondly, is there the lime green wire accessible for the 3rd brake light as i have been reading about on other model years available on this model?
Thanks in advance for the help,
Mike

Hi,
Yes, there is a lime green wire for the 3rd brake light. It's beyond the tee for the trailer wiring (closer to the front). It's never really in the same place so you have to pull back a fire amount of black tape to find it.
Secondly, I have never found a dedicated wire (hot wire) for lighting. I have always connected to the tail lights. This way you never leave the light on in your topper.
