Need To Kit The Holly

It's on The FE in my 66. Last started was 5 years ago and once or twice a year before that. This time the throttle plates where stuck and had to take the carb off to free them up. Put it back on and drove it a 100 miles home. Runs like crap. Thinking the intake is sucking air as well.

Anyway It's a 4V but no tag on it. I need to know what kit to get for it. And the boys busted my camera. What can I tell ya about it to help figure this out. Thanks

There should be a part and list number on the air horn if it's a Holley.

I will look again. All I saw was patient numbers on the front float bowl. Thanks

Okay got it. LIST 9834 and under that
1776

What does that tell me as for the size and kit I need.

Going into town tomorrow and would like to get the kit ordered. Anyone now what to ask for. A part number for the kit and knowing what size carb it is would help. It's a Nappa store run by kids and a woman.

Is it called a Holley 9834?

Thanks Art. Another question is as the cork gaskets are prone to shrinking is there anyway or anything to soak then in that would help to get them back in shape to use? Back in the day as I remember it was common to buy a kit in which the cork gaskets had already shrank in the kit sitting on the shelf.

Tells ya how long it's been since I had one apart. I hope they do make them out of something else. It's the only thing that make the Holley a PITA.

Found the Kit at Summit. Looks like the gaskets aint cork but hard to tell from a pic. I will see what Nappa can come up with when in town today. Thanks again. I am pretty sure I will have to gasket the intake as well. This FE has low mileage on it since it was built. But it has been sitting for a very long time. It has the cast iron intake but it is ported so I want to use it over. Gonna have to rent a crane or a big kid to help
