Try removing front wheel, then inner splash shield first, even if just enough in that area, to allow reaching inside to access .

Removing the inner fenderwell allows access to remove the cable from the antenna. The other steps (from above) are to use a small wrench to remove the antenna mast. Cover the perimeter of the fender around the antenna trim cap with a rag and/or tape then pry the trim cap up. Remove the 3 retaining screws that secure the base to the fender.

Now that I look at it again, you probably only need to do this step. And replace the word "remove" with (tighten!)
