rotors and pads combo
So I was towing a friends dump trailer loaded with dirt when his trailer brakes decided not to work, well they worked sometimes, but now my pads and rotors have a glaze on them from too much heat. They still stop the truck but obviously not as well as they used to. So my question is for those who have the NAPA rotors and Hawk lts pads. How are the rotors and pads holding up, good as stock, better than stock, worse than stock. And those with another combination, I would like to hear from you too. It is time to upgrade the brakes and this is a good time as any. Thanks for your input.

I love the discussion when owners are considering paying triple price for "brand" rotors.
Unlike the pads -all rotors are MILD STEEL no matter who signs the price tag. So unless there is manufacturing error -you will never see the difference.
Now pads are more tricky. The good ones (braking efficiently) are soft, wear out fast and leave lot of dust.
The ceramic pads last longer, but might stop you few feet too far from the accident point.
Have fun figuring it all out.
