How to find a vacuum leak?
Alright guys I know how to find a vacuum leak in a gasser, pretty simple with a can of starting fluid. But since the diesel vacuum is run off a pump and not the engine that wont work... so my question is just how the heck are you supposed to find a leak on a diesel?

Vacuum gauge straight to the vacuum pump, take a reading engine running and after 1 minute.
Now plug into the vacuum tree, block off all the other hose ports and take a reading, again running and 1 minute not running.
Then attach each line one at a time with a vacuum reading on each.
When you plug in the line with a leak, you will either see lower running reading or a falling non running reading.
Then you know where to concentrate you search for the leak.
