Just get a taurus or mark VIII fan.. They have been used many times and work fine.

Search taurus fan on google. You will find a TON of info on them.

Taurus fan

Mark VIII

Neither will fit directly & the mark III is about an inch larger. (17 vs 16)

Here is how I mounted mine inside the original shroud:

Pretty much any fan is going to need to be trimmed custom mounted.

There are quite a few threads on E fans for these trucks and pics too.

Well it fits completely inside the stock shroud & so far this summer I've only switched it to "Hi" once. But whats better is I only have to take 2 screws out to pull the whole thing out if I want to do work on the front of the engine.

Try that with the normal aftermarket mounting systems.

Don't, I repeat, Dont remove the shroud unless you fabricate another to fit the new fan. The shroud is there to direct the air through the radiator. Removing it will cause the operating temp to increase and allow the engine to overheat.

You'll still need to have a proper shroud to direct the airflow through the radiator. Most speed shop catalogs don't carry these items, as most of their hardcore customers only use them on the strip.

Most any sheetmetal fabricator can fab up a proper shroud for a little money.

However...if I were you, and really wanted to lose the shroud, I'd run a twin fan system...one pulling and the other pushing.
