This problem just happened today. I was driving, floored the accelerator and when it hit around 2700+ Rpms, i lost some power and it started to make a whining noise. I kept gaining speed, but it kept making that whining noise. I think its the turbo because the normal whine of it was gone when this new whining sound happened, but could i get a second opinion from you guys?

Also, do you think it is safe to drive around at all if i dont goose/floor the accelerator at all?

 

well i hate to say but mine did the same thing, i ended up installing a turbo, hadn really tried it out yet but i am in the same boat
