Hello to everyone!

I just thought I would say hello. I have been watching the forum for a few weeks, and I have been very impressed with your knowledge and eagerness to help! My son and I have just started the rebuild of my dad's '54 F100 shop truck. He bought the truck in 1962 so it has been in the family longer than I have! Anyway I'm sure I will be here asking some of the same questions you have answered before. So thank you for your patience in advance!

Welcome to FTE Dale,
That was a great introduction with pictures. Hope you and your son have a good time together building the '54. Keep use up to date on the progress. So what is your plan for the truck, restore/rod? Good luck.

Thanks Brian,
The truck has a 292 (worn out) with a 4 speed. The engine is on its way to the machine shop to be bored, crank turned ect.... We are going to add a 4 barrel, headers and a mild-ish cam. For now we are going to keep the shop truck theme. Probably put my dad's shop name on the doors kind of a tribute to him...

Sounds like a good tribute. My daughter lives in north Texas (St.Joe, TX). How close is that to you? We get down that way a couple time a year.

Welcome to FTE. I'm a new user as well and have found everyone on the site very willing to help and know what they're talking about. Great father and son project. My dad and I restored a 1930 Model A coupe when I was in Highschool and I'll never forget it.

Dale, always good to have another '54 F-100 around. Your story is a lot like mine. your truck looks better than mine when I painted it 11 years ago. Good luck with it. Love that push bumper on the front. Is it wood or metal? Your grille looks good! Prbably the big bumper saved it? check out my gallery...

Welcome, looks like a great foundation for a great build. If you have the bolts there are enough nuts to go around here.
