Glad it made it!!

I don't know what you plan on glueing it with but it had better be good stuff. You're not likely to find another piece like that. Good luck!

thanks for your help.
Hi, new user here--
I have a 2003 Sport Trac with same issue on rear window weatherstrip/seal (outside wiper) detaching from frame. I have the strip (that Steve/ncranchero sent to you), but I would like to know which adhesive you used and if it is still holding up?
Thanks

I think I used 3M weatherstrip adhesive, I ran a thick bead in the track and then pushed the weatherstrip in to it. It's a cramped place to work so I would test fit it dry to make sure you got all the old adhesive out of the track so it will fit right. It is still holding well, I am worried that when it gets hot it will stick to the glass again though, that's what I think happened the first time.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! So I bought the 3M adhesive and cleaned both the track and the strip thoroughly. However, while doing the 'test fit dry' I saw two different positions that the strip will fit into the track. I know it's been almost two years since you repaired yours, but do you remember if you just pushed the strip into the track or if you had to line up the small groove on the strip with the tiny lip on the track?
It's difficult to describe and I could post a pic of the groove/lip I'm trying to describe if you would like. Also, you did do this repair without removing the window, correct? thanks again, in advance- Mark

I cleaned out that groove in the weatherstrip real good, I think the adhesive pushes up into it and helps hold it in the groove. I installed it with the glass rolled down, and just pulled the interior panel back as far as I could without cracking it. I put something in between the weatherstrip and glass to keep the weatherstrip pushed in to the groove while the adhesive set up. hope this helps.
