fuel pressure

i have a 1986 f150 302 fuel injected with dual tanks. where can i check the fuel pressure for each tank and what pressure should i have. i was thinking at the fuel filter on the frame. im not sure what lines are suppling fuel from what tank and which ones are return lines. thanks old reliable has been a lot of trouble latley.

You might have a test port on the fuel rail on the engine. Some of the early engines did not have this. It should be around 39 psi + or - depending on the intake manifold vacuum.

You have 3 pumps. One high pressure pump on the frame rail and two low pressure pumps in the tanks. I want to say the pumps in the tanks are around 9 psi, but that's going from memory.
