Injector tube for Cummins

Anyone have the copper gasket for the injector tube for a 220 Cummins. My 67 N has a 220 in it and I am getting a leak out the side of the rocker box seal. I need to remove the injector tube to replace the seal, thus I need the copper washer for the injector tube.

Is this the seal around the injector supply line that goes through the side of the rocker box? OBCB

No, the seal that you are talking about is a rubber seal. That is the one that is leaking. You have to remove the injector tube to replace that seal. What I am looking for is the copper washer that seals the injector tube to the injector. Once you remove the injector tube from the side of the rocker box you will see a copper washer (a crush washer) on the end of the injector tube. That is what I am looking for. I have checked the auto parts store and he has a selection of copper washers but not the size I am looking for.

I understand. Have you tried an older truck repair shop? You know the type that works on the local farm / heavy equipment, or maybe the cummins dealer. I'm not supprised that you can't get them from the local parts house without buying a full overhaul set. We were usually able to reuse the ones that were there, but you always took the chance of them leaking and contaminating the oil. I wish I had a pocket full to help you out, sorry. OBCB

I found some. I got them from a Cummins dealer in N.H. If you ever need Cummins parts for an older engine call Ralph Mahoney and Sons Brentwoon NH. They are family owned and can get parts for most older Cummings'

Glad you were successful. It's nice to hear good things about a business nowdays, and cool that they still deal with the old stuff. OBCB
