Fuel filter Change
Ok, my first fuel filter change! (2010 F-350 6.4 psd,) Drained the fuel from the rail filter system, went to remove the cap from the system!@#$%^&*() First problem need the 36mm socket to remove the cap. Thought I could use the metric adjustable! No way, no room to do anything.
Ordered the 36mm socket from amazon (thank you everyone for the insite on the tool). When I got the cap off and looked at the lower filter that can with the truck it was different from the one I purchased from the dealer parts department!!!! I re-installed the original and then replace the upper filter with no problem.
HELP, please look at the pictures, am I nuts or are they different? The dealer states this is the right part number! In the pictures are the two filters, the darker one is the original ( you can see the longer nipple and black gasget, the new one is shorter and has no gasget!!)
Can anyone give me some input on this?
I do have pictures, for some reseason I can't post them**&*$$#$!
Thanks,
