After market prop valve

I know this has been covered multiple times, but whats a good after market prop valve? If I go with the wilwood one, how do I set it up? I have an f250 2wd with discs up front and drums in rear.

I recently eliminated my factory prop valve on my 77. I installed the jegs brand into rear line. The instructions to install and adjust where pretty clear and simple. I imagine wilwood brand would be the same. I had to learn how to properly flare the tube. A few trys did the trick.

I recently replaced the prop valve on my 250. I ordered the one from JBG, bolted right up and works like a champ. With the supplied plug, bleeding the brake was simple and quick.

You will find that most prop valves are the same piece of metal sold under many brands, so if your gonna drop $$ on a 'brand' make sure your getting something more than the same piece of brass that is half price on ebay....

I have used the Wilewood valve on other projects. As I used it the front brakes were effectively "T'ed" to the MC and the rears ran through the prop valve. To set the prop valve, I used an empty road on a damp day. I reduced rear pressure until the fronts locked up first (barely) on hard stop. Rear brakes locking up first is not desired and causes control problems. With a PU and variable loading in the rear you have to decide how to test... empty or some load? That's the nature of PU's.
