Exhaust Kit 1990 F250 460 Dual Inlet
Ok, I posted this in the truck forum, but I need help. I need to find either a cat back or a complete dual exhaust kit for a 1990 F250 4x4 ext cab with a 460. Mine is rotten and about to fall apart. I don't care about emissions, but does anyone out there know where I might be able to find an affordable one. Not really interested in have a local shop do a custom one, not worth the money they want here.
Thanks for any advice.

I also found kits at

I don't know which option I am going to go with. I found the replacement tailpipes for about $45/pc from AutoZone and may just replace them and the muffler. Someone put glasspack look alikes (factory) and they are rotten, the cat seems good so I might just leave it.

I'll probably get an EPA spanking for this but here goes. On my 91 I had the same prob. The cat was rotted out, I tried to find a high flow cat but could not find one with the air tube adapters. After having driven it about 4-5 thousand miles with the old ones rusted off I figured given the age and no noticeable performance probs maybe I didn't need the air tubes. So I cut the cat off behind the flange. Put two straight pipes on(can't remember the size off the top of my head, you will have to measure), and two flowmaster 40 series mufflers mounted next to each other rotated so they are 90 degrees from the normal mounting position. I held this up with two aftermarket straps and exhaust clamps to get me to the shop. I had them weld the system up and add tailpipes. Total cash outlay was 180 dollars including the flows. It sounds wicked and really woke the old beast up. Like I said the EPA probably wouldn't approve, but around here we don't have testing yet and this is a farm truck anyway. By the way, the muffler shops around here can't take the cat off and not replace it, but if it has no cat on it when it comes in they don't have to put one on. Don't know if that works everywhere but in the midwestern backwoods that's the way it's done. Sorry so long, hope this helps.
