2008 5.4L V8 into a 1957 f100

All,

I have a 57 f100 that currently has a 1975 302 V8 and C4 trans. I have acquired a '08 5.4L Triton V8 out of a 2008 Ford F150 that I would like to swap in. The motor has 19k miles on it and is mint. I have the engine wire harness and ecu.

I'm not real familiar with the whole CAN/BUS system or the PATTS system of the newer Ford vehicles. I just want to put the motor in the truck and have a reliable turn-key fuel injected ride.

I was wondering if anyone has done a swap like this and could let me know how big of job I am in for.

Thanks,
Greg

It runs

Hey I got mine running, I used a Diablo sport predator tuner and a custom tune from them to finally get it running. Get in touch with me if you still have questions. If I would have had a good custom tune at first it would have been a pretty straight forward deal to get it running, only about 15 or so wires that needed to be taken care of the rest are all part of the engine harness. The mechanical end of it should be pretty straight forward.

Good luck

KARASKUSTOMS I'm glad to read that you finally got your truck running.
