There were 5 colors in 48 for pickups - sedan delivery's had several others on that chart.
Vermillion
Meadow Green
Black
Chrome Yellow
Birch Gray

Interior metal was body color from what I've seen.
Seat, kick panels and headliner were usually the same - except for Meadow Green which had brown/tan. Don't know what Yellow ext had for seat/headliner color - I suspect brown or black.

I've seen some red 1948's, seems that was not an original color?

Were the 1948 models the only year the wheels were painted black? 1949 and 1950 were body color? Thanks

Yes 48 was the only year with black wheels and 49 and 50 had body color wheels. 48 also had a pin strip on the silver grill that 49 and 50 did not have.

sunlit, red was an original color - Ford called it vermilion.

I've seen some reports 48 also had stainless window division bars where 49/50 were painted black.

Some 48's had a red stripe on argent grills, some had stainless grill bar covers.

Seems like Ford was experimenting with a variety of details. Also possible it was a regional thing - which is where Car's documentation comes in handy.
