1948 ford f68 ?

Guys, I seen a video of a 1948 ford f68, it looked just like an f1 any ideals as if its a f1 which the wroung name plate ??

It's not a mistake Cody. That's a Canadian Ford truck. Our friends who live north of the border will be along shortly to give you a history lesson (which is quite interesting). Here's something I dug up just now that might explain it a little more. http://mercurypickup.com/merc_history.htm

By the way, a quick search shows that corresponds to an F-3 in the states apparently.

In addition to the Merc trucks M1, M3, etc Canada also had ford trucks that used an abbreviation of their gvwr:
F47 Halfton 47000 gvwr,
F68 - one ton 6800 gvwr,
F135 two ton 13,500 gvwr, etc

more confusion to keep guys guessing lol

I dunno, I like that the Canadian series number has a detailed connection to the functionality of the truck.
