It looks like all the basic pieces are there. The 8LD PCM can be tuned with a chip or tuner on the J3 port. Seems a bit high on the price for used pieces, but then again I am a cheap a** by nature.

No, there is a whole family of mustang EEC's that are essentially the same except for some minor tuning differences. This 8LD is a California spec box, other compatable box codes include 8LF, 8LG, A9S, A3M, A3M1, A9L, A9M, A9P, A9T, C3W, C3W1, D3D, D3D1, S0Z.

Would this cpu work? I have the engine and injector wiring harness for it. All came out of a 94 mustang cobra.

My data says that's a '94-95 computer for a car with the AODE trans, so it will run the motor but will throw tranny codes because you don't have any of the sensors or actuators for this trans.

So none of this stuff probably came out of a cobra... or was the AODE offered behind a 302 cobra?

The authentic Mustang Cobra included GT40 heads and intake, a cobra specific cam, 24lb injectors, a larger MAF meter, and an EEC tuned to make all this cooperate. The info I have says that is not a real Cobra EEC but that doesn't mean the person who sold it to you is a liar.. anybody can paste Cobra emblems on a car and most people wouldn't know the difference.

Figures... Guess i just wasted 150 on that one. Found a guy with an A9L on CL. He wants 200 for it, but i may be able to get him to trade.

Is the A9P for an automatic trans? I called the guy that I bought the CPU and the harness off of and he said that the CPU that he gave me came out of his 93 with a T5 in it. I seen the car, but i trust you more than i do this guy.

So how do i go about this conversion? I guess ill be using the parts they gave me. Injector harness, motor harness and the U4p0 CPU. They also gave me a mass air meter that they used and said it was calibrated for 24lbs injectors
