Hi All,
Got home this morning about 10:00 A.M. It poured down rain all the way home. It made for a lousy ride, but we still had a blast. The old truck ran great with no problems. I enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone. Congratulations to Lance and his Dad on winning truck of the year.

Tacson and Lakotas53, thanks for posting all the pictures. I thought the F1 & F100 turnout was amazing this weekend. I believe Charlie Cobble reported that there were over 900 hundred trucks at the show, plus the cars, giving a total well over 1000 vehicles (I was registration #1167 and highest number I saw was #1289). Everyone I spoke with this weekend enjoyed the new location and thought the move back to Pigeon Forge was a definite improvement. My father was told after the awards ceremony that the city has plans for “improvements” to make the site more suitable for truckers and attendees is in the works (shuttle service, building for shade/award ceremony, etc…) and should be in place for next year’s show.

My father and I were absolutely shocked to be selected for the “Truck of the Year”. When we started on the truck over 20 years ago (1990), we never dreamed we would obtain such an award. More important than a $20 trophy we got this weekend is the friendships we have developed over the years with people in the F100 community. Every year at the Supernats we enjoy talking with Ford Truck Enthusiast that we share a common bond with and have made literally hundreds of friends. Many of the people we have been seeing for the past 10 years at the show were shocked when we showed up with both of our vehicles. Like everyone, we had been coming to the show for new ideas and most importantly, to pick up parts. It was nice to finally have our truck there and participate. In closing, the friends we have made will last a lifetime and we appreciate all the support along this journey (especially from the FTE’ers).

Congratz on the truck of the year Win. My Father and I have attended the Supernatz for 6 Years and was not impressed this year. The Shade trees and grass of Chillahowee Park had us spoiled. We also enjoyed cruise'n around the park. The show has gone south since Pat Ford Left. Seems everything has been cheapened. Only half of the proposed trophies were given. There were a lot of references to Cobbles wallet that made me uneasy. The parking lot atmosphere was not the same as Chillahowee Park. No Flushing Toilets or A/C Jacobs Building was a negative. The spectators had to walk miles to get to the over priced entrance fee. There was only One food vendor compared to the 4-5 of Chillahowee causing us to drive into the tourist trap town of Pigeon Forge to Eat at an over priced restaurant. Or having to drive down the congested 6 lane road in a 40+ year old truck. There is also an "open" Rat Rod class. What happened to the F100 and ALL FORD SHOW? The guy that won had a Dodge and a Chevy and there was a Chevy Pickup in the Show. So much for ALL Fords. Cobble is letting us Ford Guys down. Cobble sees Dollar Signs and Pat Ford Saw a Ford Family Reunion. Pat you will be missed and your show is going down hill. My father and I will no longer attend the Supernatz while under Cobbles name.

congratulations Lance on truck of the year, my son told me when we saw your truck that he thought it would win truck of the year. Beautiful job of building it. I to did not think that all of the trophies were given, I was trying to keep count on the best of class in the 53-56, and don't think they called out 50 winners. I did think that cobble made several references about his pocket book, and donating some of his monnateey to a cause. If you want to donate that is fine, but you do not have to tell everybody about it.

No I did not get to meet him, But I thought that was a really good looking truck. I got a pic of his tailgate art too. I thought I had a closeup shot of the truck and interior but could not find it when I started posting pics.
