You can give these guys a call.. http://www.stangerssite.com/PCrebuilding.html or take it to a local hydraulics shop or do it yourself, keep in mind it needs to be cut open and welded back together, NPD also has them for around $240 i believe.

Don't bother fixing that ram! Go with a hydro assist setup. Run a much larger 1.5" ram with lines tapped into the left/right turn pressure sides of your box and you'll have way better turning power! It also acts like a very solid stabilizer at high speeds eliminating any wonder.. You'll have to just find where to tap your box which is the only tricky part. Pm me if you got any questions

Thanks Montana and 73 ford guy:
The Frankenstwein truck has a separare steering valve, not on the steering gear, so right/left line location is not a problem. Where do I buy the 1.5" ram cylinder? I never considered cutting it apart! Geezo!
Sorry for my ignorance, but who is "NPD" and how could I contact them?

Yeah right and left line won't be a problem ... Duh. Anyway for a cheap ram surplus center has them for 90$. Otherwise redneck ram, psc, and others have offroad ones. The psc 1.75x.75 is a nice one at about 200$ but will be a little slower in reaction speed. 1.5 bore you shouldn't notice any difference while driving. Any bigger and it could be scary to drive ax it will not react as fast as you may need it to. 1.75 ram is perfect with high steer because your stroke distance is shorter so it keeps up to the speed like the 1.5" ram. You following or did I lose u??

National parts depot, what exactly is wrong with your cylinder, is it just leaking at the seal? if so check NPD or Green sales for the seal kit (40 bucks).

This ram leaks out the rod seal from gravity even when the motor isn't even running! I have to do something to replace or rebuild it.

I contacted "stangerssite.com" and sent him a picture; he got right back to me and said he could not cut it apart and re-weld it, and that he did not have seal kits for this style ram any longer

Montana said "if so check NPD or Green sales for the seal kit (40 bucks). "
So, I will try "NPD" ; does anyoe have contact infor, web site for "NPD" or "Green"?

the other alternative that 73 ford guy suggests is "Otherwise redneck ram, psc, and others have offroad ones" - anybody have contact info on these companies?

Thanks a lot you guys.

Those cylinder seal kits are becoming pretty scarce, if NPD or Greens comes up short you can see how much this guy wants....read post #11 in the link below or ask NumberDummy to run a check, there may be a few still out there....

I found NPD, and they have the rebuilt cylinder listed for $225!
You guys Rock!

I will give them a call tomorrow to se if they have one in stock; I have to get my "core" back from the guy how said he could not rebuild it; NPD has a $400 core charge, so these things must be hard to come by.

thanks for all the help you guys.
